I think that the subject of my oral presentation is a good occasion to do an article on my blog.

So I’m going to present to you Guy Moquet’s life.

As you know Nicolas Sarokzy decreed that all high school childrens should read Guy Moquet’s letter on 13th october, the day of his execution.

But Who does really know who was Guy Moquet ?

Guy Moquet was born in Paris in 1924. He was originally from a communist family. He attended the lycée Carnot in Paris. He was a militant of the “Jeunesse communsite”.
He was 16 when France was invaded. In october 1939, his father was arrested, as a lot of communists on this period. This event strengthened his engagement for the communist advocate. He was refuged in the department of the Manche with his mother and his brother, but he decided to come back to Paris to commite to Resistance. For example, he passed out (distributed) fliers with communist ideas, and to ask for communists captives discharge (liberation). He was arrested in October 1940, by 3 french policemen because communist propaganda was unauthorized. He went to the jail and then to a detention camp of Choisel (near to Chateaubriand, in Loire Atlantique).
On 20th October 1941, a commandant of the occupation troops was executed in Nantes by 3 young communists. Vichy’s Government decided to select communist hostages. So, 2 days later, 27 hostages were shot. Guy Moquet was the youngest. This execution chocked the population.
During his detention, Guy Moquet has writtten a lot of letters to his family. The most famous is one that he wrote the eve of his execution.

This is this the letter that Nicolas Sarkozy choose. So every year, on 13th October high school childrens should read this one.

Some history teachers disagree with this “new celebration”.

In my opinion, this in not an efficient maner to learn to the childrens, the resistants’ stories. In fact, this letter doesn’t explain it in spite of the fact that it is very touching.

***HOW TO PROTECT ENVIRONMENT ?

The "Grenelle de l’environnement" is currently setting to realign the guidelines of the ecological policy. That is the reason why I decide to do an article about it.

The protect of the environment is a very important subject.

Each and every one can make a few changes in our daily lives for the benefit of the environment (and many of these changes can also save us money).

I will give you some examples...


Cars are the greatest source of air pollution in cities. So we can use our car more efficiently.

We can organise carpool with neighbours or friends and not use the car for the short trips.

Walking or riding a bike are alternatives, not bad for the environment and good for health !

Another alternative is the public transports.


To economize energy, you should have the reflex to turn off the light when leaving a room.

And to switch off the television, VCR and computer when not in use.


Wash clothes only when the washing machine is full.


Separate your garbage: Putting items in the correct bins, separate your garbage into paper
and board, bottles and cans and cartons, and general waste.


Think about it !

*** "Les Planches"

I'm going to do an article about " Les Planches " , this is a nightclub where I sometime go out with my friends. "Les Planches" were created in 1985 and this nightclub is now well-known, based near to Deauville, it attracts Parisiens during holidays because famous DJs are invited (Martin Solveig, David Guetta, Bob Sinclar, Greg Cerrone, ARNO COST & NORMAN DORAY, Joachim Garraud, … ). So this nightclub blends parisian clubbers and young people from the region.
I’ve already been about 10 times and I always enjoyed it very much. This summer I saw Arno Cost & Norman Doray, Martin Solveig and David Guetta.


When we want to pass a party there, it’s always a great organisation because nobody wants to drive [ WHY ? ;) ] .
I already plan the next party that I will spend at this nightclub : on Saturday 10 November to see Arno Cost & Norman Doray and to celebrate my birthday

*** Presentation

For the first article, I'm going to present myself...

little summery of mary's life

I was born in Caen, on November 7th 1988.
Two years later, a little sister arrived ... FIONA.
Since my birth, I have lived in a flat in the center of Caen.
I was at the nursery school ... then at the primary school ... then at the secondary school ... and at the high school ... to finaly pass my Baccalaureat Economy and sociology.
I didn't know what I wanted to do ... that's why, with a good level in Maths, I decided to do a DUT STID. Unfortunately, this IUT is in Lisieux. and I had to leave my family, my flat, my friends ... to have a studio in Lisieux.
I'm starting my second year in Lisieux and I'm still alive ;)
I meet nice people [ on the picture ;) ]... (but also nasty personnes)
